It was Hunter Newman who was swapped out of the roster when Laird came back healthy (if I remember correctly). Not a very similar situation here.

A 3rd string catcher who rarely played in 2013. That's kind of expected. I wouldn't gripe at all if Chinea was left off the postseason roster, although I don't expect it to happen.
