I'm with Choupique19. You should never start a second stringer. They are second string for a reason. Why let them play? If they want to play, then they need to get better. The only reason they should ever see the field is in case of an injury. Get good or sit, amirite choupique?
Once again, Choupique shows that he knows way more about baseball than Maineri. Keep up the good work.![](https://images.tigerdroppings.com/Images/Icons/Iconcheers.gif)

Where did I say that a backup should never play? Where did I say that a backup should never start?
Where did I say that a starter should never get a day off?
I thought my point was clear that subbing in one or two spots at the start could be okay, but starting 8 backups at one time is not a good idea. Do any other coaches do it? Nobody has chimed in yet with that answer.
