re: Prediction for # of TAF points to get season tickets this season?

I don't care about getting tickets this year. I already have free tickets.

Maybe I am just over thinking this... Why would one even need to donate 5k to get tickets this year? With all the additional seats in the end zone this year, why wouldn't the additional tickets get way further down the list?

I have 60.5 points and my rank is 1253. I'm hoping to get 4 together in the SE. I have 2 and 2 but want 4 together.

And that's why I'm in no rush to give a bunch of money. 60 points would take a lot of cash to accumulate.

Actually I gave $50 bucks for 7 years and last year and this year I gave 5k and that put me where I'm at.

The trick is to start paying the minimum early on for a few years and the points add up.

So if I am looking at the TAF site right, I get 3 priority points a year for donating $100.00 to the Champions Fund. The Priority ranking is different than the philanthropic ranking.
2 Questions
How am I getting my philanthropic points/ranking?
Do you get the same amount of points for donating to the Champions Fund as to the Philanthropic Programs?

I missing something here. Can you break it down to how you got 60.5pts. You should get 1pt/year for giving $50 for 8 years giving you 8pts. Then for the 5k donation you should get 3pts for membership, 7 bonus points, plus 10pts (2pts for every 1k). I'm getting 28pts. Definitely missing something
Eta: I read that wrong the first time. I now see you gave 5k two years.

I think the terminology might confuse people at first. You get philanthropic points by donating to Champions Fund (TAF annual membership) or by donating to a program for facilities or scholarships. Those philanthropic points build your priority point ranking.
I believe there are two rankings - lifetime rank which includes ticket donations (not philanthropic) and philanthropic rank (not ticket donations).
And the way I understand it, yes you get the same points by donating to Champions or a program. A lot of people donate $100/year and that gets you the 3 loyalty membership points (philanthropic) and .2 "money" philanthropic points based on 2 points per $1,000. I know each year I do it I get 3.2 philanthropic points.
You may need to call someone at TAF for a better explanation though

Here's my donations each year. The credits are tradition fund for tickets.
And here's my points

This has always been mind blowing for me. Let's say I donate $100 a month for a year or two. Where would this put me?

If I had to do it all over again, I would establish my TAF account under a company name at the outset instead of my name individually. Your descendants will be glad you did.

So I'm taking your comment as the donation isn't enough. $1200 a year isn't enough!

Well you wouldn't get anymore "bonus" points until reaching $5,000 per year. But $1,200/year would give you the 3 loyalty points and another 2.4 in money points, or a total of 5.4 per year... I think that's right.
I wonder what dollar amount someone off the street would need to give if they had no points and wanted to get football tickets. With the bonus points $5,000 would probably get some upper decks right?

I would only donate $100 or $5000 per year, whatever your budget allows. Those two thresholds get maximum bang for your buck. Obviously $5000 is better, but not everyone's last name is Walton.

That's pretty legit. Looks like longevity of annual donations or large one time donations are the way to go to build significant points. You have both of those
I am starting out like you did, been doing $100/year for a little while now. I think I'm too greedy to do $5,000/year for now, maybe when I'm in my 30s. That tax write off sure would be nice though

Yeah $5,000 is a nice plus for bonus points. Looking at the website though, I'd like to be at the $25,000 level
