Trapped in an Elevator

Was just stuck in an elevator for the second time in my life. First time, many years ago in Pensacola- the system just shut down for about 20 minutes it seemed.
Just a few minutes ago, an elevator in my building got to the floor, jerked up, fell another floor and a half and the inner doors opened between floors. I did not have the leverage to force the outer doors open, so I bounced my way to the top floor where the outer doors opened and I was able to force the inner doors open and escape.
Cool story, I know.
Anyone else ever been physically trapped? I don't mind tight spaces if I have control, but got kinda shaken when I'm at SkyNet's mercy.

Herkin and jerkin may have been a better description.
Also, getting stuck isn't as bad as getting stuck after the elevator just went into (an admittedly short, but existent) free-fall.
