At least 4 Chengguan, the most hated police-inspectors in China, were beaten to death by angry people in Cangnan County of Wenzhou City, Zhejiang Province (located in the industrial southeast), after they killed a man with a hammer. The police-inspectors hit the man with a hammer until he started to vomit blood, because he was trying to take pictures of their violence towards a woman, a street vendor. The man was rushed to hospital, but died on the way.

A nice warning to governments and LEOs everywhere.
When you push too hard, eventually people will push back.

Our government knows people will eventually fight back. That's why they're buying up all the ammo while they're trying to restrict our gun ownership rights.

But what have they actually done...
...I mean, besides letting us carry loaded weapons on federal lands now...

You ever take on a anti-federal government position when a conservative is not in the white house?

certainly.
But in this case each and everyone of you who supports the rancher is wrong.
Unless you are down with following whatever laws we feel like following. Given the anti-illegal immigrant crowd in this forum...I tend to doubt ;-).

No they aren't. What almost happened to those people can't be excused. People almost died over a few cows eating grass on public land...Some grown up needs to take over the BLM, and that's a fact. Something seriously wrong, and probably dubious was behind that deal, and I doubt it had anything to do with grazing fees...

Do ya'll ever think that maybe the feds sent the SWAT team for protection due to the fact that in the past BLM protesters have utilized pipe bombs against them?

Are you talking about the 3 pipe bombs that were exploded at US Forest Service and BLM offices?

Suspected supporters of the Ranchers in the late 90's.
Its why the feds have never tried to remove the cattle during this 20 years fight because of the threat of violence.

It looks like the cops had just perpetrated a murder... And in turn, got murdered back.

So, nothing has happened on the land, or Ranch, but only at the BLM headquarters? Sounds more like leftist(Weather underground-type tactics). Still don't see why 200 troops decended for this. Calmer heads at BLM should have tried other ways of getting their way IMO.

Because strength is a deterrent. If 10 Rangers had showed up the Bundy Supporters might have forced Rangers hands to protect themselves. It was a show of force not an act of force.

They have for the last 20 years, but that hasn't worked.

I clicked on this thread thinking it was about China and police brutality and how they deal with it. What I see here is BLM and Bundy being discussed and some idiot has even dragged the damn Forest Service into the fray.
Again, does anyone have a link where Bundy threatened violence? I haven't seen one in any of the numerous threads on the subject.

There are several threads on the BLM fiasco and gun control. I thought the story in the op was fascinating. BLM is child's play compared to this.
