Littlefinger would never sit the throne. He knows better and would prefer to rule from the shadows
There won't be an iron throne. In the end, Westeros' monarchic system will be abolished and different areas will have different rulers, like Jon as king of the north

Littlefinger would never want to be *the* King as much as he loves power. He prefers being a puppet master.

This is the way I am leaning right now as well.
Dany just doesn't seem realistic for this society. Would be the PC ending that's for sure.

I think it ends up sort of like this. Daenerys takes the throne but brings peace to the lands and delegates "rulers" of different areas (Jon Snow in the North, etc.)
