Maybe, but unlike most other creatures, that gives us the ability to adapt very quickly. We can thrive almost anywhere on this planet. I can't think of another creature that can do that.

You keep saying "naturally" as if that is relevant. That nullifies the exact thing that makes our species "special". We can defy that which is "natural".

Nature and evolution said man shouldn't fly, breathe underwater, move at incredible speeds, jump higher, live longer, live in environments that would kill us instantly (space), etc. We told nature and evolution to both go frick themselves.

We could destroy every living creature on this planet if we wanted to. We create amazing new medicines to fight disease and have doubled our average lifespans. Who knows where we will go from there. Who cares if we have no idea why we are here? It's not relevant. And as to your last point, our vicious and sadistic nature is just one more thing which makes us special.
