Are you certain about 2011? My recollection was that I arrived about five hours before that Oregon kickoff and met up with a few tailgaters there (including one who made duck gumbo). They had all been set-up there since the morning (none of these were RVs, btw).

I skipped 2013-TCU, so I have no knowledge.

And all the SEC Championships, and LSU-UNC at Georgia Dome, folks tailgated ALL-DAY on-site.
