You have absolutely NO idea what the going market for top assistant coaches was back then.
Where do you people get this crap?

you sound mad bro????

Bring another NC to baton rouge......this will quiet all of us un-useful idiots (is this really a word?) if he's recruited as well as you guys say, this should be a no-brainer. Everyone's pointing to 2015...let's see it.

We will average 10 wins a season as long as CLM is here no doubt....but not another NC under miles.

I would say frustrated with the stupidity of people who spout this nonsense. You are just here stirring the pot. I get it Forrest. The only reason I replied is because there really is a portion of the fanbase that will never be satisfied with what he does.

If you have to ask you really are one.

Unlike you and your fellow gumptards I don't really care if we win another NC. I lived through the nineties.
Everything here on out is as they say....icing on the cake. Go away punk.

I'd say LSU's 2005 and 2007 teams were pretty damn loaded on offense and defense with talent left by his predecessor.

It's been almost a decade and we are still talkin' bout what was/wasn't here is 05? Really!

I wonder what was at Bama when Nick took over in 07 that enabled him to go 12-2 and win the west in his 2nd yr? He must have taken over a pretty loaded team as well, huh.

What is there is important, but what is done with what is there is more important.

Les is a good coach, but I am just not a fan of his

Miles has a great record of achievement at LSU whether you are a fan of his or not. His 9 yr period has given LSU the greatest success in football that we have EVER known. Anyone who claims to be an LSU football fan, but is not a fan of the man directly responsible for giving you the type of success you have never experienced before for almost a decade is in need of sports mental health treatment. imo

He went back to his safety net. That is his major issue. Lee had some bad throws, one off a bad snap, and got benched. Fine, but to refuse to switch back and hand over the reigns permanently to Jefferson showed Miles' true colors. If Miles had his way, he likely had JJ starting from day 1 in 2011, or at least once he got back from suspension.

I am almost tempted to argue with you, but then I am frozen in awe. Some brilliant man somewhere has preformed miracles. Teaching the fully retarted how to type….

Well Im just impressed

Let's see, you think Miles coming in after Hallman or after DiNardo has the same results as he does now? I doubt he wins an NC in his 3rd year, much less an SEC title in his first 5 or division title in his first season. Les isn't a bad coach, he's a good coach, but to ignore the situation he walked into when looking at his success is disingenuous.

He took over a loaded team that helped him achieve a 34 and 6 record in his first 3 seasons or an 85% winning percentage in his first 3 years. Since then, he's 61-18 or a 77% winning percentage.

So what happened to Lane Kiffin, who followed Pete Carroll, or perhaps Muschamp, who followed Urban Meyer, or John L. Smith who followed Bobby Petrino?

I can go on and on. Your logic is based on your bias. If it were as easy as you stated and soley on a direct correlation, then they could have hired Billy Blanks to coach after Saban left and been successful.

Kudos to you though. Someone has to catch Sabans loads in their mouth. Im glad you stepped up to the plate, and spared the sane.

Do you think that his starting point hasn't helped that? I'd say LSU's 2005 and 2007 teams were pretty damn loaded on offense and defense with talent left by his predecessor.

And the same thing could be said about the next head coach if Miles left tomorrow... What's your point??

I just don't understand why accepting that Les walked into a gold mine of talent and situation when he got here is so hard to accept. Does it mean he sucks? No. Would LSU have won as many games with any coach? No, not ANY coach. In the end, Les is a good coach, but I am just not a fan of his. People like Choctaw need to accept that people have the right to that opinion without being "haters".

Sadly, it's people like you who won't appreciate miles until he leaves and the next coach comes here and runs the program into the ground

ETA: I do not want this to happen but that's what it's gonna take for some of you people to see what we have now

These people were the kids who threw temper-tantrums in the toy store when their mommy wouldn't get them a new toy. If you can't enoy this run of success LSU has had the past decade under both Saban and Les you are one miserable human being. I'm convinced these people can't even enjoy a wet-dream.

Explain why I'm misguided.

Don't forget that you Les haters have nothing statistical to hang your hats on. Every useful metric shows that he is the best coach LSU has ever had, as well as one of the best in the nation currently.

Seriously. How many coaches can say they've made it to multiple championship games at one school and won at least 1?

What's going to be really funny is if Les does win another one, they'll still find something to complain about.

If this sounds stupid...then you're beyond help...which for the record, is a fact established long ago.
Isn't the ultimate goal to win NCs? How is this stupid....please explain. This should be priceless

I'll hang up and wait.

Who is mad now bro? I care if we win another NC but I refuse to me a miserable piece of shite whilst in the midst of the greatest run in LSU football history. You see Forrest, unlike you and your fellow gumptards my whole life isn't defined by the how many NC's an amateur football team wins. You must have a great life pal.
