It's irrelevant. The initial act of objection would have been sufficient to draw the ire of the media and it would all over the news. Nothing done after the fact would compare to the initial outrage.

Look, you wont find me supporting Christianity on a regular basis but we both know Islam is treated differently from every other ideology. Anyone else would have been a bigot just for objecting n the first place.

And yes, I agree that because they are Muslim, people will be more apprehensive of condemning them. Why? Because Muslims have been so routinely targeted in this country since 9/11.
