- Pook's Crawfish Hole: It's in Sante Fe, TX. Between Houston and Galveston. 40 minute drive, but they are absolutely perfect and it's a cool little joint with great service and you can pull up an ice chest filled with beer or liquor. #6.99lb as of last week.

Props to you for making the drive down...

This is the right answer, OP.

Thanks for the recommendation

Yeah, we've been back twice since my initial trip. I love that place. It's kinda me and my girlfriends every other Sunday tradition. We gather up a few friends, stop by Spec's, then drive down to Pook's to eat and drink for a few hours.

It was funny my girl was pissed at me for throwing a fit about "LA" Crawfish. Told me I was being to picky and she thought they were good. Boy, did she change her tune after her first trip to Pook's, haha. She even admitted I was right and that this is the way crawfish were meant to be done. And she never admits to being wrong. lol

The dusting is bad, but honestly people do it in louisiana too. I had crawfish at a place in breaux bridge. A lot of them were mushy and "extra spicy" was dusted with seasoning. Pretty disappointing
