Maybe he thought he might be moving or something. Why do you think there are so many apartments? It's not for everyone to buy a house right away

I probably can't buy a house for another 5 years or so because I might have to move around a bit before I'm settled. I'd rather not rent but I'm not going to buy a house when I know I won't be in it for the next 20 years.
