Edit: Check out Ohio State Research: They say their study says that far more white European Christians were enslaved by Muslims, up to a million, which is far greater than the amount of slaves in America.

Also in the movie America the director stated that there were more white "indentured servants" that had to earn their freedoms through years of servitude, than there were black slaves at one time.
