I don't know what the ltz tahoe's initial price tag was, but I know the base model was around around 28k in 2007, so I'd estimate the LTZ was around 50k loaded. The land cruiser was closer to 60k. Seems like the value depreciates the same to me.

This is coming from someone who owns a tahoe and will probably not own another.

For all the GM loyalist:

Automotive News reports the 2015s will cost roughly $1,000 to $3,000 more than their 2014 counterparts when the new SUVs go on sale early next year. The base price of a 2015 Tahoe goes up to $45,595, based on order guides they obtained. That's a $1,000 bump. P

If you're going to be in the market for one of the leather-lined, chromed-up Suburban LTZ 4WD versions, Automotive News says you should be prepared to pay $65,595 before options – that's $3,300 more than a comparable 2014 Suburban.P

So, small-but-vocal group of people who want a new Suburban or Tahoe and aren't regularly transporting businessmen or government officials, save up.P

I think Tahoe prices are CRAZY. When I was almost finished school, I seriously considered getting an LS Tahoe. This was around 07-08. I know that I found the base price to be under 30k. I ended up getting a truck instead. Two years ago I decided to get an SUV. Base price of the Tahoe was right under 40k. OUTRAGEOUS!!! I lucked up and found a pretty well equipped LT less than a year old that was just traded in with under 20k miles. Paid low 30's for it. There's nothing wrong with it. I honestly do not have the desire for any other vehicle right now, but I don't think I could pay what they're asking for them now. I don't know if there is anything else in that price point that's better, but vehicles today are just a bunch of plastic waiting to break and rattle after 4 years. I'm not paying those prices for that crap.
