Hey Dog boy when are you going to entertain us with some more videos of you in your suit? I find it amazing that you have kept up your liberal theme this long. When will you finally reveal yourself as the greatest troll in TD history?

Those were election specials hoping to defuse a bit of the rancidness around here.
From what I can see a lot of people here have no appreciation for satire.
eta: I would advise Tina Fey to steer clear of Baton Rouge.

Yes she is, I know this isn't the OT but IWHI, only in Sarah Palin character though. Which makes it political.

quote:
“Democracy and socialism have nothing in common but one word: equality. But notice the difference: while democracy seeks equality in liberty, socialism seeks equality in restraint and servitude.”
I have no idea who's quote it is but difference is democracy is a form of governance and socialism is an ideology, neither of which are preferred.

In the modern taxonomies of a 9th grade civics class in 2014 that may be correct. But democracy in the way Tocqueville was writing was just as much an ideology in the first half of the 18th century. Perhaps today we would classify his word democracy as classical liberalism.
I noticed there was a link to an article that equated the socialism Tocqueville discussed to the welfare state. This would be a historical anachronism as well as, the socialists Tocqueville was dealing with wanted dictatorship and the abolition of private property among other radical measures.

Like a fascist who tries to circumvent Congress while his administration attempts to seize land subject to private ownership or encumbrances, all after they've sought to radically change the country's health care system by cramming through legislation on solely partisan lines using questionable back room tactics?
De Tocqueville, Bastiat, and most of the Founding Fathers saw it coming. Some folks just don't want to admit we've come full circle.

Churchill?
Edit: Tocqueville!!! hahaha I checked my answer

Just a word to the wise. I hope it is not a waste of time.
That is some funny assed shite when you look at the poster that it was targeted at or being either wise or you overstepping the bounds of what he can accept for advice.
