This is the rant correct? I thought it was ok for someone to have an opinion other than yours. I'm sure he is a bright young man and a good student, but he is football slow.

There's no denying that. That's not bashing. That's just the truth. I'd rather have more athleticism out there this year. Our secondary will be there to help this year with the experience gained last season and the talent level of the new players.

Its his consistency...slow as he is...he is where he needs to be(intitially)..he doesnt frik up hugely...u give up 5 yards when u should give up 1 you give up ten when u should give up 4... he doesnt miss assignments. but he is slow getting there...yet they feel that, plus his knowing where to line people up...over all is better than a fast linebacker who makes plays sometimes..... highlights even. But isnt consistent and could miss an assignment...and cant line people up after audibles...overall.////////less risk...You guys act like they are evaluating talent and they either cant do it right or we just are waiting for him to explode----hes freaking football slow. period..everyone knows this. Yet Hes not a bad player by any sense. this year will show a lot

there is a reason Welter is out there and it isn't naked pics.

So, to be clear, you think he is a good MLB and does his responsibilities well?

no offense, but Chavis knows light years more about his players and how to develop an elite defense than you.

NO doubt about it, but that doesn't mean our eyes don't work. Rex Ryan knows more about footbal than we could ever know, it doesn't mean I didn't see Sanchez absolutely SUCK at qb for the Jets.

We were so far from an elite defense last year, I cannot even begin to speak on this comment.

Not flaming, but I clearly stated I know nothing of what they think, but I'll fight you to the death arguing if you think I didn't see our MLB position as a MAJOR weakness last year. I don't have to know more than Bob Baffert to see his horse get last place in the derby.

I love Chavis, I think this speaks as bad for the backups that were available as it does about Welter. I am from Welter's area and love the guy being at LSU and know he's from a great family. I hope he becomes the best I've ever seen.

I hope you and everyone else that's talks out of their arse and disrespects players like Welter and JJ in a non constructive way wreck and burn. I have no remorse for you fricking idiots. These young men dedicate their bodies and throw away their health and image for this university and the whole lot of you have zero respect. All pieces of shite. You're not funny witty or hip and you aren't gaining zero respect points on this board.

I feel he would have been a better Big Ten player or a non automatic qualifying conference.
