a very well trained woman might, might be able to hold her own against an untrained man if she has a considerable size advantage. Would help a lot if she's much, much bigger and very athletic vs a small out of shape guy, and can get the jump on him and kick him in the nuts or take out a knee or somesuch. If the guy is similar in size or bigger, or has any training at all, or knows what's coming, she doesn't stand much of a chance.

I'm one of the biggest promoters of female equality/opportunity you'll find, but there's no denying biology, and men are much stronger, pound for pound.

The other thing to consider is It's not real wise to fight a cop, regardless of gender, because there are more where that one came from and they'll keep coming after you, and no matter the circumstances, you're the one resisting arrest. So if a hypothetical female cop wants to wail on me for a while, I'll cover up and minimize the damage until she gets tired, on the theory that whatever she does, the alternative is likely to be worse.
