re: Jamaica. Is it safe to leave the resort?

We stayed in an all inclusive resort, heard all tgese horror stories about leaving resort. Rolled the dice and looked up a local drivet to take us out one day. Best decision we made the whole trip. You will get approcahed but the local told us just say " I'm cool". Nevet felt threatened or uncomfortable. But that is all null and void in Kingston.... DO NOT go there.
