"Line drive basket to the short side. He turns and fires and a fantastic alley-oop catch by Landry in the Endzone! And that will retire the side, no runs, no hits, no errors, and a third consecutive double double by Johnny O'Bryant III."

I love it when I'm out of town and trying to find Tigers on radio and I hear that voice!

My only complaint about Jim is that he sometimes lets his frustrations or negativity out if the Tigers do something wrong.
You can hear it in his voice. It's almost like he expected something to go bad.
This is more prevalent with football than baseball, however.
Other than his 'glass half empty' tone sometimes, there's not much else that bothers me.
Sure he makes mistakes sometimes, but he corrects some of them and does really emit an LSU homer attitude, which is fine by me.
He's been doing it for 30 years, so you know he's dedicated.
Yes he does say 'and that retires the side' when the game is over and 'strike three' when there are two outs, but not ALL THE TIME. He DOES also say 'and that's the ball game, Tigers win! Tigers win!, and 'that's it for the Tigers in the fifth, but LSU picks ups 2 runs on four hits, and we go to the sixth, with the score LSU 18 alabama 0...'

Last season it was calling the last play of the game and saying (example) "ground ball to second.. Throw over to 1st" "and that'll retire the side." It was like he was calling the end of the 2nd inning or something. There was no mention the game just ended
Are you fricking kidding me? That's an example of something that drives you crazy? That's some weak shite.

I mean, I think his listeners can be expected to know the "three strikes and you're out" rule. It's not exactly BABIP or WAR.
