The team rettig thing is a joke boss.

Once you see which prospects will be your regulars for the next 5-6 years, you can hit the FA market and fill in the holes. The only worry I have is that Crane will say not enough fans come to the games to justify spending that much. For the Astros to get back to where they were in 97-05, they need to spend money first to lure the fans back.

2016 is the season to do this IMO. The end of '14 will tell us if guys like Folty, Springer, Singleton, Deshields, Appel, and Wojciechowski will be good enough to man down starting jobs to compete in '15 and '16. After '15, we'll see wehre guys like Rio Ruiz, Fontana, McCullers, Velasquez, and Correa stand. Then you'll be ready to hit the market and sign 3-4 guys to fill in the holes.
