Cutting Bunkley is a lot tougher than people think. If they cut him by June 1st then yes it would help the cap this year, but next year it would cause a $3.2 million cap hit.

I think the Saints will ultimately try to get him to take less money and if they can't then I guess they would have to cut him even with the cap hit next season.

The main solution right now seems to be signing Jimmy Graham to a long term deal.
