But that's what's allotted. I don't believe it's in the cap yet.

Explaining the NFL Rookie Pool and its Impact on the Salary Cap

Because the Saints would appear to have less than the cap space required as shown by blueslover, I think the saints will need to release a player or restructure a deal.

Available solutions:
Re-structure Evans (Saints for life anyway right?)
June 1 Cut Bunkley (less snaps than jenkins last year iirc)
Contract with JG

good link bbrownso

It seems the more you look into capology the more complicated it gets. I follow it cuz I think that cap mgmt can be as vital to team success as on the field play. It is some pretty boring arse accounting kinda stuff tho. You cannot escape value anymore when talking about players.

Top Salaried Cut Players
Champ Bailey Broncos CB $10,625,000
Miles Austin Cowboys WR $9,016,667
Santonio Holmes Jets WR $8,416,667
Sidney Rice Seahawks WR $8,200,000
Will Smith Saints 43DE $7,850,000
Davin Joseph Buccaneers G $7,500,000
Tony Gonzalez Falcons TE $7,000,000
David Stewart Titans RT $6,147,167
Levi Brown Steelers LT $6,000,000
David Baas Giants C $5,500,000
Daryn Colledge Cardinals G $5,500,000
Owen Daniels Texans TE $5,421,875
Jabari Greer Saints CB $5,275,000
Nate Burleson Lions WR $5,000,000
Danieal Manning Texans S $5,000,000
Asante Samuel Falcons CB $4,900,000

Plenty of those guys can still play in the NFL. It just at what price.
