Get the SA Range Officer (in your price range), its basically a no frills SA Trophy Match made in the custom dept. You can slowly customize yourself. I have a SA RO and have been very pleased. I have made some modifications to it, but it rides the place as my most used 1911 as I dont like banging up the expensive ones so much.

The Ruger is mostly MIM parts if memory serves correctly. If you are a high volume shooter this may be an issue due to possible breakage.

I have a SA Range Officer and it's a very nice gun and very quality gun. I've got about 1500 rounds through it and I couldnt be happier with my purchase.
