Ripken's may have more prestige and aplomb, but Favre's was more difficult and more impressive. Not to undermine how incredible Ripken's streak is, just saying how much I respect Favre's and how incredibly underrated as a sports record it is.

Favre's record is crazy. I think Ripken's has that prestige because he broke a legendary record. People still remember Wally Pipp from 1925.
