Just start following this....if you do, you will have a great yard.
Randy Lemmon Fertilization Schedule
You can also get some good leaf mold compost if you have in your area, and spread over any areas that are bare....stuff is great and the yard will love it.
Also wouldn't hurt to maybe have someone come aerate it, and they could maybe lay compost at the same time.
