Well, the version that I watched had "VFX" on the screen when there were visual effects. For his death, the screen read something along the linesof "Incomplete VFX" so I think that the people who work the technological magic will give us a death that closely resembles the book. Per my viewing, I believe you would be disappointed,but like I said, I think they will amp it up for the final cut. And, Joffrey's death is satisfying no matter what. Infantile prick.
