He does. Seems much more decisive and his throws have more on them than Jennings. He's also a better runner. Still a long way to go but I think Harris will be a future star whenver his time comes

Agree. There's a noticeable difference in arm strength too. I think AJ's arm is too weak for the touch throws which is a killer if you make a bad read. Harris seemed to be able to drill it and lob it over too. Excited to see him compete. May the best player win the job.

That 2nd pick of Jennings was totally on his arm. He floated it out there and it hung to be picked off. He won't survive in the SEC like that. Also, I'm not certain Jennings 1 game+ of experience will play a big factor. I mean you'd think he'd have the leg up based on practice time in the system but the coaches willingness to swap them out and make sure Harris got plenty of time with 1's shows that its a totally open competition for either of them to step up and claim.

Lets be honest, 1 game or so of real time experience probably doesn't put a ton of separation between the two. If Harris plays better, he should be the starter. We would all be wise though to temper our expectations. The SEC is the toughest conference and both QB's are extremely young and raw. There will be a learning curve for sure. This was an unfortunate time to not be opening up with a cupcake game or two.
