The govt is already screwing you over and you don't realize it. Take a look at your check stub and compare 'gross pay' with 'net pay.'

Really? Because I pay taxes to numerous levels of government, I'm screwed? I suppose that if you consider every dollar in taxes a wasted dollar, then you would be right. But I don't look at it that way. Is there govt waste? Certainly. Am I going to commiserate over it? Hell no. After taking all the deductions that I can, I think I have a pretty good deal considering my income and tax bracket

Of course, you could be on welfare. I don't know. But history shows that liberties are given up at an incremental rate so that you don't feel the pain.

I assure you that I am not on welfare and receive no form of entitlement. The pain is self-inflicted. You always have a choice in how you view things. You don't have to be a victim. I can't think of one area of my life that is significantly affected by the perceived loss of liberty.
