In 2014 doctors should be able to tell whether or not playing will risk further injury. If it will, the answer is hell yes shut him down. If the answer is no, the play him. Any experience is good experience right now, and the worse that 76'ers pick is the better we will all feel. Plus he has all off season to recover from any niggling injuries .

Ankles don't really tend to be a recurring problem though. If it was feet, knees, or back I might be worried but who's the last guy who's career was significantly hampered bc of chronic ankle problems ?

Yep. If he has brittle bones like Oden, or had major injuries like blowing out a knee / back / etc, then I would consider it.

I wouldnt call AD injury prone at all. The hand injury this year was just a weird injury. And his ankle sprain isnt that bad either.

If hes 100% and medically cleared and wants to play, no reason to shut him down. And just because we arent in the playoffs, doesnt mean we cant affect them. We play 6 playoff teams out of our 9 remaining games. And Phoenix is 1 of the 3 teams batting for the last 2 spots. With the way we have been playing lately, I wanna see how we stack up against those playoff teams. And I bet some of the players feel the same way.
