If going automatic I'd go Benelli/Browning/Beretta in 12 guage. Some will disagree; however, I'm of the opinion that 3" Mag is plenty. With the heavyweight loads they are creating you just don't need the additional payload the 3.5" offers.
I'd get a quality choke, I prefer Indian Creek but they are all very good nowadays. With heavyweight #6 or #7 a .665 to .680 constriction does very well.
I'd advise against using the factory bead sights. Fiber optic pins, traditional scopes or reflex sights offer real benefits for ultra close and also longer distance shots.
If you want a lesson on how to frick up a turkey hunt you could have been with me this morning. Had one hammering on the roost and got too close. Bastard spotted me and spent two hours on the limb taunting me.
