Well it was pm who stated why hire a hitting coach either a kid can hit or not hit,
That amazes me that a coach at his level would say that. A hitting coach at that level isn't there to teach hitting. They are there to help hitters out of slumps, improve and become a more consistent hitter , be able to recognize pitches etc....and they do that by being able to analyze the swing to find any of the smallest flaws a hitter may have and correct through hours of repetition inthe cages. By that statement then Bergman can't hit I guess...obviously we know he can but evidently no one is there to see what's causing his slump . Granted sometimes its just a mental thing but usually when its mental you start changing things looking for answers and get away from doing the right things you had been doing and that's whee you need the guidance of a fricking hitting coach PM

The encouraging thing is we don't have tons of strikeouts
Many outs are ground balls, especially Bregman
Some of his ground balls will find holes
Some will turn into liners
We showed lots of life at the plate yesterday
And I was glad to see that we even scored three runs in the ninth.
The way college baseball is today, it feels like once your down four runs it's over.
