Average timeframe is around 45 days. The differences between the different types of licenses should be self explanatory. Pick the one that matches what you are trying to do. OR, be more specific. What are you trying to do?

Back in the late 90s I considered going into the biz and getting one. Got the paperwork and had some questions, so I called the ATF hotline.
You'd have sworn I was asking how to make bombs out of fertilizer and diesel, the guy on the phone gave me the 3rd degree about why I wanted it, blah, blah, blah.
This was around the time when Klinton and "Shakes" Reno were harrassing FFLs as much as possible.
Do they still give you a hard time over zoning and a "brick and mortar" location?
