Well since 2000

11 different schools have won ncaab tourney
10 different schools have won bcs
10 different schools have won cws

So it might be the easiest to win.

Couldn't that imply that it is the hardest to win?

If baseball and football had a repeat champion, that means if you are really good you are more likely to win the championship. Meaning, it is easier for the best team to win it all.

But with basketball, there was not a repeat champion. This means even the best team cannot get there more than once. It's more random. Thus it's harder for the true best team to win it.

But really, the question doesn't really make sense. There is a champion in all 3 sports every year. So how is one harder to win than the other? Somebody is going to win. So each sport has a champion 100% of the time.

You can't really compare the sports. Football is hard because you have to be almost perfect for the entire season. 1 loss and you could be out. So you have to dominate.

Baseball has a series of games. You don't have to be perfect. You can drop a game and still be in it. Baseball has more room for error.

Basketball is difficult because it's 1 loss and you are out. And basketball is a more unpredictable game, so the 1 loss and your out format is harsh and the best overall team might not win the tournament.

pretty similar at the college level over that timeframe. college football is a little muddier because of the opinion poll format instead of a playoff but the overall similarities are striking. Especially when you add in that there are a lot more basketball teams potentially eligible for the NCAA tourney/championship
