Did you get your finger prints done at the police headquarters in Baton Rouge. This makes a pretty big difference in processing time. Other factors are divorce and out of state moves.
If your application is fairly simple it could take as little as 2 weeks. If you have DWI's, let people steal guns out of your vehicle at night, divorce, moves out of state, etc it can take up to 5 weeks or longer.

I got my CCW in 2012.. took 6 work days 13 days overall. there is a thread on bayou shooter and people are reporting as little as 3 weeks, to as long as 7 months
