Look, I hate these new bats as much as anybody, but it's the overreaction to the change that has really affected the game.

A lot of what the OP is saying is what I'm talking about...

1. Hitters scared to go to college because they are scared to have their weaknesses exposed with these bats.

2. Pitchers can hide their weaknesses in college.

3. Coaches recruiting small ball players. I've heard all the talk that small ball, pitching, and defense wins in Omaha and I agree with that to an extent. However, you don't have to hitting completely.

4. I'm sure I'll get some flack for this but I compare LSU to a team like ULL, who is hitting the hell out of the ball and they have baseballs clearing the fences. Yes, they play in a crap conference, and I am far from a Cajun fan...but those guys can hit hard, proving that the bats are not affecting their numbers.

I hope something changes, but this is the hand we have been dealt by the NCAA.
