I would not want my son to be on the pitchers mound against a team like the 2009 Tigers. We are lucky that team did not kill a pitcher from another team. The live bat and live ball are just too dangerous with the bigger, stronger, athletes of today. Go stand around with the LSU baseball team. Those boys are not boys..... they are FULL GROWN BIG MEN. The bats, and the dead ball, are necessary for the safety of all players including the ones wearing P&G.

This is just ridiculous. The odds of a comebacker to the head are infinitesimal, and almost every time the pitcher is back within a year.

Using your logic...

The odds of you getting hurt bad enough in a car accident without seat belts to put you in a wheel chair are super small. Most people who get into an accident are back to work within a year. Hence: Let's no longer put seat belts or airbags in cars.
