I agree with that statement, and that does give one more balance and the individual the chance to understand why history unfolded the way it did, when it's balanced.

I agree totally. It will come down to teachers and principals selecting proper materials to produce that critical thinking and balance. Taking the easy way out and just buying a textbook that purports to be common core aligned will cause lots of problems. Texts are written for Cali, fla, and Texas
