Prediction: Fournette starts the first game of the season after dominating fall practice surprising everyone...

He'll probably be starting by Auburn, if not, soon after. Will command at least 15 carries a game (minus OOC crap opponents) for the rest of his time here.

What are thoughts on RB Fournette securing a starting berth
the season is over five months away, he has not had one practice on the collegiate level and has not had to compete with college running backs for playing time. No different than any of the other signees.
So, why on March 25 does this even matter? In fact what difference does it make who starts in September. If he is the most effective back he will get the carries. If someone else is more effective that player will be playing more. Let the young man adapt to college life and college football then see how it plays out.

He probably won't get the first snap in Houston vs Wisconsin, but will probably get a third of the carries along with Magee and Hilliard. I think he will be starting and getting the majority of the carries by the ULM game. Not saying Magee and Hilliard won't get playing time, because they will. I just think by the ULM game Fournette will have a complete grasp of the college game and begin his campaign for the Heisman trophy.

After Kenny transfers to McNeese, Fournette will get alot of carries. Hilliard knows what is coming.

No not the first game. I think he will get a few snaps. By mid season I think he will be the feather back.

This is the most anticipation I've ever had for an LSU recruit to play.
Russell Shepard was close, but we didn't know what position he was, etc. Perrilloux was also close but we knew he wasn't going to play a ton his freshman year with Flynn here.
Buga is going to amaze. Just feel lucky we're here to witness it. He's 100% physically ready to be a primary back in the SEC and maybe even beyond. He's just a monster. Plus, he's got a GREAT head on his shoulders and has a GREAT work ethic. Very rare combination these days.
I think he gets about 1/3rd of the carries this year, maybe a bit more. Won't start a single game IMO though just due to principle. People forget Magee is a very good back with experience and Hilliard is in great shape from taking so many reps this Spring.
Buga 40% carries on the year
Magee 35%
Hilliard 20%
Others 5%
