That's really their only similarities, besides being able to return kicks, but Cadet isn't really an electric returner.

What I've said is I think Payton is looking to trim down the running backs involvement in the passing game and fill Sproles role with a WR, like a Brandin Cooks.

I agree with this but I think Sproles roll will be split between Cadet and Cooks when we do draft him.

If I remember right Paddy I was all on board the Cadet train in making the cut in 2012. And I think it was your nemesis who called me out as to why. Will try to find it.
As to Cadet after this last pre season I didn't think he would even make the team. A 6'1" 205lb'er doesn't seem the likely replacement for Sproles but its a long off season and if CSP gave him things to work on that would make him more of a threat then perhaps its possible.
With MI in his last year. PT getting older and a very young Prob and Cadet I'm positive CSP will bring in more competition at the RB spot via draft and UDFA. Several more.
