The NBA needs to have a three year removed from HS rule like the NFL. If they're smart, they'll use college as a farm league, and ditch the D-league.

I'd suggest it needs to be more like college baseball.

That's a pretty good idea.

Except the NBA doesn't make any money off of the NCAA. I don't know the financials of the D League but it would make sense for the NBA to expand the D - League and make it more profitable rather than let the NCAA profit.

they've actually expanded the D league in recent yrs, and more NBA teams have their own D league team. so I don't see that happening unless something drastic changes.

Basketball is not a contact sport, so it doesn't make any sense to have such restrictions, except for that it will make more $$.

Keep in mind that you're limiting freedom when you do this.

D-league won't get ditched. One of the bigger arguments for letting athletes go "one and done" is because they are going all-in with basketball as a career. The possibility of a career altering/ending injury is too scary to these kids who, for the most part, don't have much money to begin with.

I'd love to see a 2 and done rule instituted but I really just don't think it's fair to these elite players who are risking their careers while not making any money.

college would have to start acting like a farm league in that case
