Expand on that. Us Gen Xers were probably in diapers or playing Pac-Man on Atari 2600 when you saw these shows but they are very interesting now!

Mike, if ur still here:

I did a lot of time at The Bayou and WLSU. Yup, that was KPRG/KLSU. You had to plug your radio into a socket in your dorm to hear us. I played a lot of REM on my show simply because I liked them and some other Athens bands. They got booked at The Bayou. I saw them for $3. The next week, they were famous.

I saw SRV prolly more than any other act outside The Radiators. The dude played every night some where. In the late '70's/early '80's he seemed to be in S LA a few times a month. I caught a bunch of thoses shows plus did split time between BR and Austin during those years.
