Nice. There's only a few bands I would put at the top of the list to see and The Doors would be one of them.

I saw Pearl Jam and Smashing Pumpkins open for Chili Peppers in 91 at the Municipal Auditorium. Eddie Vedder was going nuts swinging everywhere. They stole the show. The next year they had one of the biggest albums of all time.

I would consider someone opening for a major band has made it big.

I was at this show too. Vedder ride the crowd right over me. I also met James Iha in the floor in the pit.

i was there as well. $10 to get in. I had seen Pearl Jam before that as well.

Also saw Nine Inch nails open for, I think, the Jesus and Mary Chain, and then they played Tipitina's for a $1 fee a little bit later. They carried their equipment in a white Tradesman van parked across Tchoupotoulas from the bar.

Saw Jane's Addiction prior to the release of their first album at Tipitina's as well.
