FYI for those going to the game.
Team is staying at the Double Tree by Hilton Hotels,
Campbell Center, 8250 North Central Expressway, Dallas.
If you want to give them a send-off be before the game, be there by 5:30 in the lobby.
Who's in ?

You're family is the best!
That's a long way for them to go - hope it works out.
I won't be there, but my husband will.

I am excited about the game and will be attending but don't you think a hotel send off is a little much? I mean, this is the NIT not THE ncaa tourny or some kind of championship send off.....just saying.

Not really. I organized a road trip to Bama in January and about 30 fans + the Stringer family gathered to hi 5 etc.
It's real informal.
The players weren't expecting it and were happily surprised.
If it were the SECT, or pre-season tourney with advance notice, there'd be a pep rally arranged. Complete with band and Tiger Girls. The host city's alumni assoc. usually gets together with BR's to put it on.
It's just part of the spirit of the occasion. At Bama there was a bar where we (fans) hung out before & after. Sort of like tailgating.
