You're talking like Pearl will get Auburn to the NCAA tourney next year. Coaching transitions take 3-5 years for a coach to get the team the way he wants it. If Pearl can get to 3 years without infractions, I'd be shocked. Johnny Jones will have LSU as a top team in the SEC next year which is year 3 for him.

Used to but now in the age of transfers it is more like 2-3. Look at ISU this year 3 seed in Hoiberg's 4th year and they are 3/4 on making the dance...

Tennessee was not far removed from being a pretty good program when Pearl took over. They had a run of NCAA tournaments and Allen Houston was there. Auburn will be a much much bigger challenge. We'll see how he does, but he never really impressed me.
