re: Why exactly wont we honor the Crimean referendum?

Any referendum to join another country why under military occupation by said country is completely illegitimate. Not to mention, I can almost assure you that plenty of people in Crimea do not want any part of Russia.

I'd wager that if given the choice, Crimeans would probably vote to be an independent country.
