And this. Make a compromise.

I'm sure ALL your stuff is perfect and there's nothing that she won't like, but if you can't come up with something to get rid of, maybe tell her something like, "Ok, we'll keep the tree, but I get to have a beer fridge." Then you won't mind having the tree around so much.
