Was 13 when it was on the radio, which is right at the time I was really getting into rock for the first time. A friend of mine had the cassette and we played that song and Sunset Grill almost non-stop. I had no idea at the time what a Deadhead sticker was.
And as much as I am a fan of cool covers, I can't stand the Atari's version. It's like fingernails on a chalkboard to my ears.

"Sunset Grill"
Very underrated song. That song in particular brings back great memories as I was 10 when it came out. Boys of Summer was very good too. Speaking of Sunset Grill, I went by THE Sunset Grill on Sunset Blvd which is the grill the song is named after.
P.S. Those two songs are examples of what made 80s music so unique and great imho. It was a time period with incredible diversity of music. You had a lot of solo acts from great bands along with a lot of the legendary bands still around.
