Class B Motorhomes Anyone?

Does anyone have a Class B Motorhome that they want to tell me about? The wife and I are considering a used Winnebago ERA. We are mainly looking at it for a weekend get away cruiser. Our sons both play travel sports and we think it would be nice to have a place to come and relax in between games and such.
I don't think we would stay more than a couple of nights at most in it at a time.

Sounds sweet. Got any pics of what you're thinking of?

Class B rv's are typically damn expensive, especially the ones on a Sprinter van chassis. You could probably find a small class c for cheaper.
I just traded my 5th wheel toyhauler on a class c. Loving it so far. It's nice for the kids to be able to watch tv, use the bathroom, eat, etc without stopping. The class b, especially the diesel Sprinter chassis will get a lot better fuel milage than a class c... not enough to make up price difference though.

Here is a listing of used ones from RVtrader.

The one we are looking at is local and around 70k. We know they are a bit more expensive than Class Cs buts for some reason we are really drawn to an ERA.

My kids are in travel sports as well. Only problem with a camper is that your kids ain't hanging out at the hotel with their team mates. They just miss out on the hangout time.
Class Bs are nice. My Father in Law has one and if I get a camper that's what I would get.

If your budget can do the 70k, go for it. Winnis are top dogs in the RV market and demand a premium. If it were me though-
I'd look at the dodge sprinter RV's and put the 30-40k savings into something else. They the same exact thing minus a few amenities (maybe) and probably have the same Diesel engine under the hood (comparatively speaking). I'd definitely go diesel too but then again, I'd be pulling my jeep.
The class C we used last year was a ford with the v10 and it took everything it had to pull the jeep up some of the mountains we climbed.
