That's your grandpa's way of thinking. It depends on make/model/warranties/interest rate/etc. that's determines a better value. You dont' think the market has shifted to your line of thinking? So, I'd recommend doing your homework before jumping to that conclusion. You may be correct in saying you can get used for cheaper but that isn't always the best value. Due Diligence is the key IMO.
