jimmy comes back and tells ML/SP. Hey, [insert team here] offered me that contract. I'm willing to take 5yr 55mil 23mil guarantee to give you a hometown discount, what say ye?
We say sorry jim, we can't. He signs the contract with said team, we decline to match, and we get the 2 1st rounders.
that's best case scenario obviously.
